It’s time to put the “party” in “migratory party”! As the season reaches its peak, Fall in Feathers transforms into a hub of celebration. We’ve survived the early morning freezes, we’ve mastered the art of the marsh-muck-walk, and we’ve seen more ducks than we can count. Now, it’s time to celebrate the feathers, the flight, and the friends who didn’t laugh when we tripped over a submerged log.

Our end-of-season celebration is legendary. We swap the camo for… well, slightly cleaner camo. We have the Annual Duck Call Symphony, where everyone performs at once, creating a sound that can be heard three counties away and has once caused a local weather station to report a “localized goose tornado.” It’s a time to toast to the birds that kept us guessing and the gear that actually worked.

We don’t just give out awards for the “Best Shot” or “Most Ducks Spotted.” We prefer the more prestigious categories, like “Most Creative Use of Duct Tape on Waders” and the “Best Impression of a Disturbed Mallard.” These are the accolades that truly matter. We celebrate the mishaps because those are the stories we’ll be telling for the next twenty years. If you didn’t get stuck in the mud at least once, did you even really experience the season?

If you could follow the migration all the way south, where would you stop and why?
